The D-16 has a servo driven cam shaft carrying a series of master cams, one for each tool. Tool selection by NC command is via hydraulic actuated cam followers.

This model was exhibited in the Marubeni Co., Ltd. booth at the Japan International Machinery Show in 1970 and was highly acclaimed. The D16 won the prize for industrial innovation at the Leipzig Industrial Fair.
